1. Who we are and what we do
Hostea is a platform that connects guests and hosts of short-term accommodation in Serbia. The platform is operated by Hostea (Petar Vlajić, Beograd, Srbija). Hostea does not own the properties and is not a party to the accommodation agreement; it is an intermediary that enables search, enquiry and booking confirmation.
2. Using the platform
You can browse the platform without an account. To book, you sign in with a one-time link sent to your email, with no password. You must provide accurate information and must not misuse the platform (automated scraping, fake bookings, attempts to compromise security).
We may restrict or close an account that breaches these terms.
3. Bookings and prices
The price you see before confirming covers the nightly rate and, where applicable, a cleaning fee. The tourist tax is not included and is payable under local regulations. A booking is confirmed when we email you a confirmation. A host may have house rules, which are listed on the property page.
4. Payment
Hostea does not currently charge for accommodation online and does not ask for card details. Payment is agreed and made directly with the host, usually on arrival. Hostea does not charge guests a commission.
5. Cancellations and changes
Cancellation terms depend on the specific property and are agreed with the host. To cancel or change a booking, write to us at vlajic.p27@gmail.com as early as possible, and without delay if the dates are within the next 48 hours.
6. Guest responsibilities
Guests must follow the house rules, use the property with care and not exceed the permitted number of guests. By law, hosts must register the stay of foreign nationals with the authorities, so they will ask for your travel document details. A guest is liable for damage they cause.
7. Host responsibilities
A host warrants that they are entitled to let the property, that the description, photos and prices are accurate, that they hold the required permits and registrations, that they pay the tourist tax and taxes due, and that they register guests as required by law. Hostea may remove a listing that is inaccurate, misleading or unlawful.
8. Content and photos
Hosts keep the rights to the photos and text they upload but grant us a non-exclusive licence to display them on the platform and in Hostea's promotional material, with a Hostea mark on images. Copying and republishing platform content without consent is prohibited.
9. Reviews
Reviews can be left by guests who stayed at the property. A review must be truthful and free of abusive content. We remove reviews that break these rules.
10. Limitation of liability
We take reasonable care that information on the platform is accurate, but we do not guarantee that it is complete or that the platform is always available. To the extent permitted by law, Hostea is not responsible for the quality, safety or lawfulness of accommodation or for the acts of hosts and guests. This does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded by law, nor consumer rights.

How we process personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, and cookies in the Cookie Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The current version is always on this page with its last-updated date. Bookings made before a change are governed by the terms in force when they were made.
13. Governing law and contact
